Unveiling the Hidden Wonders of Computing | Journey into the Intricate World of Technology

In today’s fast-paced society, we are surrounded by technology, and computing devices have become an integral part of our daily lives. From smartphones to tablets, laptops, and even smart appliances, we rely on these electronic marvels to get things done quickly and efficiently. But have you ever stopped to think about how these devices work their magic? How can they process vast amounts of information and execute tasks quickly?

The CPU – Part 2

In my previous post about CPUs, I explained the basics of their functionality. Because of all the technological progress, we make (AI, laptops, tablets, mobile phones), the CPU requirements are ever-increasing. Luckily both Moore’s Law and the creative tinkering of the CPU architects made it possible to keep up with the never-stopping technology speed train.

In this post, I will discuss the different CPU enhancements throughout the years that were being tinkered by the CPU architects so that the CPU was able to keep up with technology.

The CPU – Part 1

If you are very interested in cars, you are probably also interested in the hardware of the car: what is below the hood and what makes the car drive. For myself, this is the same with computers. I think that it is also important to have a better understanding of the hardware to get a better grasp of technology. Without doing this (sticking to the analogy I used), would give me a feeling that I am driving a car without knowing what is under the hood of the car. And to start this off, I would like to get more insight into the heart of the computer: the Central Processing Unit or short: the CPU.
