The CPU – Part 1

If you are very interested in cars, you are probably also interested in the hardware of the car: what is below the hood and what makes the car drive. For myself, this is the same with computers. I think that it is also important to have a better understanding of the hardware to get a better grasp of technology. Without doing this (sticking to the analogy I used), would give me a feeling that I am driving a car without knowing what is under the hood of the car. And to start this off, I would like to get more insight into the heart of the computer: the Central Processing Unit or short: the CPU.

After this research, I still can’t say that I’m an expert on blockchain and cryptocurrency but I think it gave me a better understanding of the basics.

Internet Basics – Hypertext, HTTP, URL and URI

In my journey to get a better understanding of how current web-based technology works, I run into a lot of technical terms. A lot of terms are abbreviations and known to me but if I start thinking about these terms (for instance HTTP) I have no idea what it precisely does and why it’s used. To get a better understanding of all this terminology and its use, I decided to write down these terms now and then and explain them in one of my posts. The first items I would like to dive into are the key concepts of the web: Hypertext, HTTP(S) and URI/URL/URN.
